This is a very special painting for me. I did it when I first tried psychotherapy formally, when I was in Uni. I couldn’t afford to pay for it, and my family was already struggling to pay my tuition. My therapist proposed that I could do a painting for her as payment for some sessions. She gave me a clean slate, no requirements or ideas, free creative rein.

The painting is about my internal process while we were holding these sessions. It’s still hanging on my former therapist’s wall at her practice in Mexico.
